* Register the Standard Add-in

Before you can use an Analytics Edge add-in, it needs to be registered. In Excel, on the Analytics Edge ribbon bar, click the Register button. Note: the button will change to “License” if the add-in is already registered. More

Adding Connectors

Connectors are installed from inside the Add-in itself — in Excel, on the Analytics Edge ribbon bar, click the License button. All paid connectors are available free for 30 days, no payment required. More

Adding Queries

The Analytics Edge Standard Add-in makes it easy to download data to your workbook. Just select the cell where you want the results put, then open a connector query wizard. When you click Finish and Write to Worksheet, the results are written into Excel. More

Copy a Query

To make a copy of an Analytics Edge query, make sure the Edit Mode is ON — that places Excel comments (little red triangles) in the cells with queries and cell references.  Then simply copy the comment to another location in the same worksheet, or another worksheet in the same workbook. Click on a worksheet cell to trigger a synchronization of the queries with the new comment locations. More

Delete a Query

To delete an Analytics Edge query from your worksheet, first make sure the Edit Mode is ON — that places Excel comments (little red triangles) in the cells with the queries. Then select the cell where the query is located, then select the Edit Query > Cut menu item from the Analytics Edge ribbon bar.

Edit a Query

To edit a specific query, select the cell where the query is located (if Edit Mode is ON, an Excel comment will appear in the cell). Click on the Edit Query button on the Analytics Edge ribbon bar. The original query wizard will open with all of your previous settings. More

Edit Mode Help

The Standard Add-in has an ‘Edit Mode’ that shows you where your queries and any cell references have been placed (for start and end dates, for example). When Edit Mode is ON, the add-in places Excel comments on all the referenced cells. More

Moving a Query

Refreshing Queries

In Excel, on the Analytics Edge ribbon bar, click the Refresh All button to refresh all of your queries in the workbook. More

Schedule Refresh

The Analytics Edge Standard Add-in allows you to schedule a refresh of your workbook. Open the workbook to be scheduled and from the Analytics Edge ribbon bar, click the Schedule button.

Scheduler Manager

The Analytics Edge Standard Add-in includes the ability to schedule workbook refreshes, and the Schedule Manager is used to manage all of the Analytics Edge scheduled refreshes. It will open automatically following any scheduled refresh, and it can be opened manually from the Schedule button on the Analytics Edge ribbon.
